Virgin Islands Goals 12/30/21

While I'm in the Virgin Islands, I want to experience the local culture and explore the natural beauty of the islands. I also want to get involved with marine research at UVI (studying coral reefs would be awesome). Lastly, I want to make new friendships and meet people from different places. I'm excited to see be in a new environment, but also a little nervous that it will be unknown. But this will also make it all the more exciting as I don't know exactly what will happen. While I'm here, I definitely want to visit St. John and the Virgin Islands National Park as much as possible, and make field research a priority. This study away experience will allow me the opportunity to experience marine and environmental research from the source and expand my world view.
